WHAT IS AEGIS?
AEGIS stands for the Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students.
AEGIS is an independent UK organisation that provides accreditation, professional development and ongoing re-inspections for guardianship organisations supporting international students.
As part of the accreditation process, guardianship organisations are assessed against detailed standards covering areas such as student care, safeguarding, policies, procedures and business practices.
WHAT DOES AEGIS ACCREDITATION MEAN?
AEGIS accreditation means that a guardianship organisation has undergone a rigorous independent inspection and has demonstrated that it meets the required AEGIS standards.
For parents and schools, this provides additional confidence that the organisation has appropriate systems and procedures in place to support the safety and wellbeing of international students.
AEGIS organisations are also subject to ongoing review and re-inspection, helping to maintain professional standards over time.
